The 500Kb bmw contest

Yeah ... nice idea ... back to the roots of trackers (!) ... I've once been inspired by thoke bmw-album and monotones superb-long buzztracks ... and therefore I already released an one hour track, in one go, only with buzz machines here on buzztunes - called "The Aliens Hourglass" - which is "önly" 85kb zipped ... thats not covered advertising, ehm ... but it is advertising ... :P
(BTW I hope a lot of buzzers will participate, should be able to do something myself 'til 21st of June ... )

The idea is great indeed. Too bad I won’t be able to participate myself — too much work. It would also be very great IMO if future contests be held here, on BuzzTunes. I’m in the middle of refactoring the resource, making it more mobile-friendly and flexible at the moment. I could add a "contest" functionality to enable voting, deadlines, comments and storage of course.

Thanks for the annoucement I just want to add that that you can use older songs, you dont have to write a full new album. I am checking some old songs that I want to rewrite with buzz machines only to put it in the album.

I agree about publishing songs here at BT This is what I had in mind.  For the zipped album it wont be a problem but I wanted too to have a mp3 version of the albums but I dont know how to do that here, I mean if people want to listen to a complete album in mp3/ogg it would be cool that they can access to the full album of each buzzer in one 'place' and not to have to search for each song in BT. I hope it's clear

Great idea. I searched for small bmxes on my old drive, but only 1 or 2 found that is a bmw )-: , too bad that an album is a lot of work.

Vacuum, you can take an old bmx and rework it to become a bmw that's what I've done for some songs

Completed a simple contests section. Please continue submitting your zips and mp3s through uploads — I’ll add them to the contest page (no special controls for that so far, sorry…) eventually. The comments also work. No votes so far either.  Any ideas on how to do it best?

@ magmavander: Yes, it works for more of my tracks than I thought. Found also a few newer snippets that don't need very much work. Thanks.
