hhaaaa wow I like that kind of trance! I'm just cooling down from some streetparade heat. I envy you for the melody and arrangement! I used to produce some trance too in the past. Now comes my wishlist for this track: - less reverb, don't drown things - add more noisy/scratchy fx - use wayfinder's bassdrums (there is some buzzchurch thread) - more fatness in the very low parts needed: add a sine synth (hp cut at 50hz) - the synth appearing at 0:30 is too soft. make it edgier (less lp/more saw).

At first listen it is very Traaaance !! Good composition here Lizard. I take more time for an accurate listen on car and headphone and then i will send my final comment. Anyway , for the moment, my compliments Lizard.
  • No doubt. Great composition, fantastic sounds, pyramidonal mixing and mastering !!! The highest voting from me (e.g. 10 of course). I like this short barking sound (wow, wow etc.) and the passage with this "noise sound" that sweeps through some "filter stuff" and is a bit tone modulated (hope you guess what i mean?!?

    wonderful
  • I'm very glad you like it! @sparschaeler: maybe a little less reverb, but actually like how it is; yep, more noise fx would represent the "wind" very well, I didn't find the thread to wayfinder's bds, I just found the thread to your track "universal energy", however I think the bd fits perfectly, some more low frequency stuff would fit, about the barking synthi: I know what you mean, I also like the idea, but what I could achieve sounds not good, it's too thin... @ bastler: (cool name btw): thank you very much for your big commendation. I "filter stuff" is actually a flanger thing. I used hd's flanger with a very low delay time. The barking sound is hd gs5u =) @bhs: I'm excited for your comment

I like it ..the flanger works nice !!
  • Thank you for your explanation and recognizing my names true intention (Bastler= german word for a kind of "hobbyist"). Keep up the good work ...
  • amazing stuff Just add more power to your kick I'd like to see bmx of this... maybe you can put some parts of it in buzzmachines in tutorials section?
  • Thank you all I've just uploaded the trance lead and the pad at buzzmachines.com in the review section.
  • Sorry I'm late. Nice track, melodic and trancey. I do feel the intro bassdrum is a little bit too "lite", needs a bit more oomf, but the rest of the percussion is spot on, especially the phased bit around 1:18. The key changes are nicely done, and lift the track up. The soft breakdown at 2:20 shows promise, and delivers. Overall, a nicely produced track, although I can't help thinking an extra layer of melody (with a non-trancey instrument eg. piano) would give it that final boost.

Sorry, i am a bit late for comments!. Well, Lizard , here there is another amazing work from you, with ideas e composition, not so incredible innovative but anyway a really well done trance track. I share the comment by Sparschaeler : try with less reverb , in particular from 03:30 to 04:30, and with eq try to reduce (-3..-6 dB) frequence in the range 3000...7000 Hz. Maybe some panning of noisy fx can improve the attention of listening. You are at one step to create a really top-ten track. Good.
