  • My all-time favorite genre!
    Great track. Thanks.
Spotted a "glitch" on 02:23, if possible, please re-upload.

  • This is not a glitch. This album was done in a very specific manner.

    Here is the description:
All tunes on this album were recorded WITHOUT using integrated music environments such as trackers or DAWs. Mostly done with the help of GoldWave, Savihost and a collection of freeware VST plugins from various authors.

Savihost is a simple app which allows to run plugins without a sequencer. I was playing them live and recording the output either to GoldWave or to a wave file.

Arpeggiation was made with some very simple plugin there that had an arpeggiator in it and a filter. I was tweaking it all live, usually adding delay and other effects later.

Synchronization was a big problem until I figured out a workaround. GoldWave has no multitrack mixer, so I had to either do the mixing by ear and eye or use another technique, which was play to what’s playing in GoldWave with Savihost and record a wave straight to HDD by Savihost. That way I could later mix it by picking the right mixing point and so the synchronization is perfect.

Another funny fact about the album is that it was fully made in the office of my job, at times when I was bored or inspired. Due to the weird tools I used which looked nothing like music making tools, I was able to work on music without the need to hide anything and at the same time without the need to install any software, which required authorization from the admin – both GoldWave and Savihost just need to be copied unzipped to a folder to work.
  • Now I see
Interesting approach, though at 02:23 it does seem like a tempo jump.
  • It's a cut jump. The track was literally created from several wave files and sometimes I had to cut severely )
