Duran Duran was more a Romantic New Wave band. This would mean that if it was Duran Duran taking the sound palette of Depeche it would probably be another sound pallette than the one in this track. Depeche could be Romantic on occassion, albeit in a Dark Manner.

Agree, Duran Duran had more "traditional" sound, despite the fact that even Martin Gore said that DD had more expensive synths in the studio, comparing to DM )) Personally i consider Big Thing is their the best album.But another matter makes me wonder - lot of things depend on the producer.It's something mystical, when DM met Dan Miller and Alan Wilder, whose experiments in the studio created DM sound.Thom Yorke - Nigel Godrich. Dieter Bohlen - Luis Rodriguez. And many other cases.What has to happen that guys met each other one day? ))
