I love the bassline! overall great sound/production, but it is peaking into the 0db, maybe drop it down -1db? Very clean and pro sounding
  • Must be the encoding because I recorded it with a brick wall limiter at -1db
  • vaisnava
well depending on the limiter, but some let through what they call "inter-sample peaks" check out this freebie to help check... it is X-ISM by Solid State Logic (VST) What were you using for the bassline?
  • I'll try that vst out thanx. I'm using synth1 as a bass. Using ring modulated fm and lots of warm asymetrical analog modeled saturation thru a Philthy filter.
  • vaisnava
its such a nice bass patch... I have never used ring-mod before... but i will try it!

I'm talking about the ring mod built into synth1. Don't use a ring mod in buzz.

I like the tune a lot Not real keen on the drum sounds you have used but that aside its really well put together and has some great sounds, space and flow
  • Great track! Very nice and smooth. Relaxing. Make more. XD
  • Abso-bloody-lutely dig this bass. This kinda ringmodded type is sure to sound good only on certain pitches. You made it work. Oughtta try it myself as well. The atmospheric middle part rocks too. Great work. Don't you try deletin' it
  • which part of the drums you not like XionD? your not dissing Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters are you? thats who I ripped the intro loop from then I rearranged it hehe It's all good though. I'm glad everyone loves this one so much it's close to my heart. The atmospheres were created by hitting random on Oatmeal till I had a full bank of ambient textures and then I chose a few I like the best. Lead sounds were Oatmeal as well and the piano is 4front piano vsti. Synth1 for the Bass and I used warm tube saturation emulation with pampurfe and tube screamer side chained ducking the kick. I used whitenoise sqr to support the simple piano melody. I may release the bmx pretty soon.
  • I liked it
